A Play Network gathering · Monday evenings, 5pm · The Botanical Gardens at Asheville
Most of us can't say where our water comes from. Which direction the storms arrive. What the soil under our feet is actually made of — whether it's alive or exhausted, tended or spent — or who lived on this land before us, or the name of the bird that's been singing outside the window all spring. We're not broken for this. We're just lost, in a specific and recoverable sense, and the finding turns out to be one of the most alive things available to a person right now.
So we gather. Every Monday evening at the Botanical Gardens, across one season, around actual food from actual kitchens and gardens, to learn the place we live — its water and soil and weather, its plants and neighbors and wild things — through play and direct…
