Friendships that make the world a better, softer, truer and wholer place

Forest Pal now!

Like all great things, Forest Pals was born at a Bonnie Raitt concert.  We sat and watched people meander past our Dogwood booth, many alone, trying to find something, some would stop and try, feebly, to share their hope of saving the earth, of doing something. And we realized that if these people were going to actually do something they were going to have to remember two things: 1. the depth and giantness of their personal love for the earth 2. how to have real friendships that make the world a better place.

So an Appreciative Inquiry Consultant and a professional Tree Saver dreamed up a project that get people off their phones and writing and receiving letters about beautiful, meaningful and wonderful experiences they’ve had in nature, evoking, inspiring, diving deeply into the love of nature and building friendships and catching stories all the while.

Joining is free and easy, sign up in the form below, you'll get an email from us with your Forest pal and lots of helpful thoughts from us. You'll receive monthly inspirations and featured letters from around the world.  Fall in love with mother nature, together, all over again and let that set a new base note for humanKind.

Who we Are

The Greening is a living network, a model for building real community through conscious play and inner coherence.  Not another online thing that makes you feel temporarily connected while you sit alone.  This is a think you do with your actual hands, voice, and whole emerging self.

It's been running for 15 years.  Hurricane Helene was the stress test.  The communities didn't just hold, they got stronger.  We're currently focusing on building the relational infrastructure which makes everything else possible.

Let's remember, together, that we already know how to do this.
